Rwanda
The Foundation opened its Rwanda office in May 2021.
Rwanda’s economy is one of the fastest growing in comparison to other countries in the region. The economy is based mostly on subsistence agriculture. Tourism is a fast-growing sector and is now the country’s leading foreign exchange earner. Rwanda has embraced an expansionary fiscal policy to reduce poverty by improving education, infrastructure, and foreign and domestic investment.
The Foundation’s priority areas in Rwanda are education, agriculture, health and water. We seek to work with the national and regional governments, line ministries, like-minded partners, the private sector, and communities, to help improve livelihoods with an emphasis on economic self-reliance and job creation.
