The role requires a leader who combines strategic vision with operational excellence, and who is equally comfortable engaging with government stakeholders, overseeing complex programmes, and building high-performing teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the Foundation’s long-term ambitions into tangible outcomes on the ground, ensuring that programmes and ventures are delivered with excellence, accountability, and measurable impact.
This role is ideally suited to a commercially minded and mission-driven leader who thrives in dynamic environments, understands the complexities of operating in Somaliland, and is motivated by the opportunity to build institutions and initiatives that endure.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a diverse and evolving web ecosystem at the heart of the Pharo Foundation’s work. Spanning our main Foundation site, schools platform, Ventures portfolio, and internal intranet, the role offers the chance to shape how Pharo presents itself to global audiences while ensuring our digital platforms remain dynamic, accessible, and aligned with our mission. A significant portion of this role, including content drafts, image editing, SEO audits, accessibility reviews, copy iteration, can be accelerated with the right tools. We want someone who already works this way.
As our work grows, so too will our digital presence. It’s a hands-on position for someone who enjoys both the technical and design sides of web management, and who is excited by the prospect of building and evolving platforms that support meaningful impact across multiple sectors.

The successful candidate will work closely with the COO and country teams to drive progress on priority programmes, support cross-functional initiatives, and strengthen operational discipline across the organisation.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role at the centre of the organisation, combining project management, programme ownership, and operational coordination. It offers strong exposure to senior leadership and is well suited to a high-performing individual looking to build broad operational experience in a fast-paced environment.
