Jannek Hagen is the Country Director for the Pharo Foundation in Rwanda. Jannek has more than 10 years of experience in working with impactful projects and ventures across Africa. He is passionate about growing teams of exceptional people and dedicated to initiatives that will create jobs, provide opportunity for many, spur economic growth, and contribute to social and environmental sustainability. Prior to joining the Pharo Foundation, Jannek served as the Managing Director of the BESTSELLER Foundation, scaling its portfolio of impact investments across East Africa and beyond, and established a tech center for the BESTSELLER group in Kigali. Originally from Copenhagen, Jannek has been living in Rwanda since early 2022. He is a father of three, treasures good times with family and friends, and enjoys nature and sports. Jannek is excited about the potential with Pharo Schools, and to introduce Pharo Ventures to Rwanda also.
